IEA - Inspire, Encourage, Achieve

Thank you to Sempra Energy Foundation for the $15,000 contribution to IEA-Inspire, Encourage, Achieve in Response to the Coronavirus’ Impact on Southeast Texas Youth.
Thank you to Cheniere Energy for the $15,000 contribution to IEA-Inspire, Encourage, Achieve in Response to the Coronavirus’ Impact on Southeast Texas Youth.
With the support from Sempra Energy Foundation and Cheniere Energy, IEA is able to continue meeting the needs of its current youth participants and their families by providing food, access to healthcare, counseling and tutoring services.
IEA is working to help youth on probation improve their behavior and make wise choices, while also providing assistance to their families to meet their urgent needs for food and medical care, as well as make available licensed professional counseling and tutoring services via remote video and telephone communications. By offering these critical support services for this most vulnerable population of youth who have juvenile-justice backgrounds, IEA will help keep crime and other delinquent activities at a minimum, especially during this time of global crisis.
Although our staff, mentors and other volunteers currently are unable to have one-on-one contact with any of our youth on probation or their families, most of our team of nine part and full-time staff are working remotely from their homes each day while having ongoing communication with children, their families and former participants to assure them of our concern, compassion, understanding and love.
